Tuesday 24th July
Today we woke early and headed into Turra town, firstly to pick up the lenses I had ordered, then a quick trip to the Accountant, and then it was time to visit Baby Hudson and Mummy Shannon, we arrived and were greeted by a beautiful bouncy baby boy, so like his Daddy, we spent a lovely hour in his company chatting with Mummy and his sisters Tyler and Kennedy before we headed off to our next visit.
Next up was Issy, we arrived just as David was finishing his lunch, Junior Donald was also home and we again chatted away and caught up with the news from The Donald Clan. Its great catching up with everyone but an hour just isn’t long enough.
We left The Donald’s and headed over to collect the girls who were just getting out of their beds, once collected we headed to the driving range for the girls to thrash a few balls around, I bumped into a dear friend Jenny and organised a night out when I’m home in September. My Beloved snuck off whilst I finished my coffee and was busy with Jenny and as I half expected smashed his first golf ball, apparently straight as a dye, let me tell you he was lucky he didn’t die when I heard that he had actually done what I was expecting, he tried to convince me he took it easy pffft.
Home to Turra and I dropped the Little Prince’s and My Beloved at Manda’s house whilst I shot over to Fees house for a quick cuddle with Bobbi-Jane, so cute and all smiles, then it was back to Manda Janes to find the Little Princes and My Beloved had stolen Olly and taken him for a Portsoy ice cream, he came home covered in chocolate and ice cream but he wasn’t moaning. We spent a relaxed evening in doing nothing, this visiting is very tiring you know.
Wednesday 25th July
Offft early start for us today, My Beloved drove to collect to Little Prince’s and then we were on the road again. My Beloved is starting to get more driving in now, but just for small amounts of time, so far the longest has been an hour, and as it was motorway driving it wasn’t too bad, well until the bloody workmen decided to jump out at the cars and brakes had to be applied rather quickly…..
First stop was McDonald’s for a pee break and Strawberry milkshakes times three, none for me I just can’t see the point of turning yourself inside out trying to suck that crap up a straw.
Back on the road again, and as the Little Prince’s slept the miles crept in and up, next stop Amble quick visit with Mother in Law number one, did I happen to mention I have two Mother in Laws, I can’t decided if its double trouble or twice as lucky! Or maybe its one of each!!!!.
We dropped the Mother in Law at the pub and were on our way again, heading for Harrogate, we eventually arrived very tired and very hungry, having left Turriff sometime after 9am it was 7.30 before we parked our cases at the Holiday Inn in Harrogate, then headed out for Italian at Vivaldo, we had a lovely meal before heading back to the hotel, although we were all shattered myself and the eldest Prince didn’t sleep to well, the heat in the rooms was stifling.
To be honest I was really expecting to be freezing coming back to the UK but the weather has been fantastic so far, well apart from the first day when the heavens opened and we hid under the bus stop that is.
