The taxi driver collected us at 3.45am, he was late and we all drove off to Tel Aviv along Highway no2, oh how I hate this road, we arrived at the airport and headed for our check in through the security we went, because My Beloved is on crutches we were taken through to the front and X-ray machines scanned our cases, unfortunately for poor Darren his bag flagged up, so he had to get the full bag check, explosives check and luckily for him not the body check, they then took us to the front of the check in queue and gave us our tickets, and seat numbers, we then headed for the duty free and coffee shop.
We eventually arrived in Cyprus around 9.30am after the three of us sleeping the whole journey, a stewardesses dream. We were collected by Colin a friend of Darrens and driven to Mesogi, we travelled through Larnaca, Limassol and onto Pathos before arriving in Mesogi.
We were greeted by Shelley and Cali and bacon sandwiches, we sat around the patio table and chatted for a while before being taken to our villa next door, food was placed in the fridge with wine, and most especially bacon. We made up the bed and decided to lay by the pool for a few hours, Darren and Shelley came over and we chatted around the pool before getting ourselves sorted for going out.
We arrived at Mesogi Arms, the pub belonging to Darren and Shelley and spent our evening in the company of The Dark Lord, sitting in the pub in the sunshine underneath the grapevines. A Greek gentleman from the restaurant next door came dressed in his Greek regalia with our take away order, which we eventually ate back at home with Shelley and Darren, before retiring to bed totally knackered.
Before leaving for the airport we had checked the garden and sorted out the patio, only to find we had a visitor, unwelcome by My Beloved who hates anything bug like, and this was more Alien like so he decided he wasn't going to tackle it without suitable PPE, and as his PPE is all at the port and his broom handle wasn't long enough he left the poor thing along, it was after all doing no harm hanging from the roof of the patio.
