All Change

So When My Beloved returned home we did a quick change and hit the gym, this would have been great had I not sat on my backside for soooooo long, because every muscle was screaming 'What the hell are you doing'. But the deed was done and I survived. Shower time and then out to the Grand Canyon Mall, now this is not a huge Mall compared to say The Metro but on the scale of things it's the biggest I've found in Israel.  Three levels, and an odd shape, so odd that having been on a mission when I arrived by taxi at the door I forgot to get my bearings, my mind was on my belly which was moaning horribly about lack of food. So we walked around and found ourselves at Greg's, now your talking said My Beloved, haha it was lush and not a sausage roll in sight.

So having started on our fitness regime, we both had alcohol free diet coke, one Beetroot salad, with an amazing lemon pickle dressing, and one chicken with garbanzo bean salad, I had to goggle garbanzo and he behaved this time and allowed me to see that they are in fact chickpeas, he is still having a few Hebrew moments but he seems to be settling down a little now. So the food was eaten and lush it was too, then we took ourselves off around the shops, what did we find, H&M, Toys R us and many other stores you would see in the UK, but also lots of new stores for me to investigate, but maybe when I'm on my own.

Now you remember me saying that I didn't get my bearings when we entered the Mall, this was ok until we decided to leave, we knew where we wanted to be, we just couldn't get there. We walked round and round, up and down, across the car park, which we didn't do when we arrived only to find ourselves on the wrong side of the three lane carriage way, so back down we went across the car park, back into the mall and round and round again.  Back across the car park, up the stairs again, and still on the wrong side of the carriageway we decided to just grab a sitting taxi and figure out our mistake another day. As the taxi did a U-turn I noticed at the entrance a Swatch shop, at least now I know to ask for swatch, or just keep walking up and down until I find it.

We arrived back and headed to the Business Lounge where Natalie was working, told her our woes about the Mall, she thought it was funny, but my feet didn't.  Then we headed off to bed, sleep time required.

Once again I woke up with My Beloved, although it was a toil this morning, so again we had our breakfast together, and this time we were joined by Byron from Malta and Rolando from the Philippines, oh yes and later by Chris from Aberdeen, cant get away from the Deen. My Beloved and I said our goodbyes, I went back to the room to plan my day, and My Beloved went off to work.

I took myself off on another stroll around Haifa, another day another route. Unfortunately I developed a blister, I knew when I put my shoes on it was a bad idea, but I knew best. So I had to find myself a coffee shop to rest in, but not before I bought plasters. Two coffees later, and Facebooked out I left and strolled back up towards the Crowne.  My legs are starting to complain now about the exercise that has been forced upon them, but I'm currently ignoring them. I went into the shop where my BFF works only to find he was not in, and his replacement had about as much English as I had Hebrew, so the fact that I appear to have used 20gb of data and all my credit was lost in translation.  I have turned off Siri now, he is oot the door, data roaming gone, notifications - off. Hopefully that will help when I eventually get the credit I need. Apparently when you have a 4s if the wifi becomes idle 3G kicks in again, so it uses a lot of data 'apparently'.

On arrival at the Hotel Sharbel informed me that there was another room which was bigger and would I like to view it, HELL YES, so I took myself up and yep it's bigger, still on the wrong floor, but bigger. So I moved, Sharbel was horrified that I did the move myself and didn't just pack everything for them to move, it was three or four rooms along from ours and easier for me to move everything in stages than to pack properly and get help. I am knackered, my legs are not just complaining, they are refusing to function properly, I bent to put something in the bottom of the wardrobe and nearly fell in it, and then trying to straighten up lead to more torture, so today I am going to stay in a semi upright position, thus taking the strain off all muscles used last night.
