I woke once again with My Beloved, then sorted through the house, the Little Princes slept until well after 11 so I left them in their beds and headed up the street for the supermarket, croissants with chocolate, juice and flour for making Kosher chocolate chip cookies, then I headed back to the house and to wake the sleeping babies.
Today I made fresh Lemonade for the first time, and if I say so myself it was lush, next were the chocolate chip cookies, eugh not a success at all, I had struggled to get the correct flour, and one minute the cookies were fine, next minute they were climbing out the oven, patting there burnt bums....... must try harder, obviously biscuit floor is not good for cookies.
Kitty is still having the home sickness blues, but we jollied her along and managed to get out of the house just after 12. We headed for the beach it is a glorious day, and having never spent the day on the beach yet today was going to be a great adventure. We headed for Matam first to pick up some shekels then parked by the beach, and the google building that Kitty is so fond of.
We walked along the shore line looking for a good spot, it was quite breezy which was surprising because at the house there was no breeze at all. We found Camel restaurant and next door Seasons restaurant, we found ourselves some seating although no sun beds as such, and then settled ourselves in. The breeze disappeared once you were on the sand, the Little Princes put big toes in the water and declared it was cold, they then decided to go for it and headed out to sea, at one point I thought I was going to have to throw on my Lifeguard shirt and paddle out to them, until they stood up and I realised that they were only hip deep in water, apparently the water is quite shallow and you can get a long way out without going out of your depth. Kinda reminds me of Southport, there you had to walk miles out to reach the sea, and even then it was only ankle deep.
The girls frolicked in the water and then came back for a lay down on the seats. Ice cream was next, and Yabba found a Magnum cornetto which was huge, Kitty found a Magnum Ice cream which was a mix of white and milk chocolate and they munched away whilst catching the rays.
We watched the world go by, and listened to music until bellies could be heard above the crowd, so we headed for Seasons and ordered lunch, although for Kitty this was breakfast as she woke and didn't want food, Kitty ordered a family size pizza, Yabba and I took fish, one was Salmon and one was Denise both of which were lovely.Poor Kitty was out of luck no cheese for the pizza, so she settled on a Chicken snitzel, now I have never tried these before, unlike My Beloved who has them every day at work, and I have to say they were lush, the coating was a combination of breadcrumbs and sesame seeds they were delicious and worth the wait.
The girls hit the water again and played around until it was time to leave and head to the supermarket for food colouring for the eggs we are going to colour tomorrow. What a nightmare, the supermarket although once again did not look busy, was torture at the tills, we stood 45 mins at the till, for three trolleys, and every till was the same, I am never, ever, ever shopping there again. The Little Princes had become very bored and went to sit in the car, but came back thinking we had run away.
We headed up the road and spent the evening at home everyone was still very tired, we had Bolognese, home made of course, and sat and watched TV and chatted, the girls were on and off ipads, and My Beloved sorted through his work mails, Houston we have a problem...
