Bye Bye Peugeot Hello Flumps

This morning was cleaning and washing day, all the bedding is halfway dried, and the floors are swept and washed, this dishwasher is behaving nicely, unlike yesterday when it was full of yukky water, must have turned it off before it was ready..

9.30 I drove to the Haifa mall to discover that it was closed until 10, not a good start, but I decided to try and load credit from the gas station, and hooray it worked. I then phoned Orange and loaded my Giga, I am now back in the land of the 3G, and very happy about it too. I then drove to the Suncar showroom to return my car, no more driving for me for a while, I have missed walking, but I have loved being able to take myself off when ever I wanted, and being able to get all the shopping without having to wait for My Beloved, my favourite supermarket being 10k away makes it difficult when you have to rely on public transport, and the torture of the large supermarkets around Haifa is something I would not wish on anyone, The Carmel shops are great if you hit them early enough but Matam, forget it, I would rather stick pins in my eyes.

I walked fromSuncars towards the German colony and halfway up the street I was tooted by a rather sexy looking man in a silver car, I waved and jumped in, My Beloved and I then drove to Herzliyya for his meeting at 12.  Dina had given us Easter bread and it was lovely, we had a pleasant journey to Herzliyya and then said our goodbyes at the office, I took the car key as I would be buying lots of provisions today, and one trolley bag would not be enough.

I headed off to Habitat, only to discover it wasn't really what I was looking for, so then back to the lovely shop I had bought my table mats from to buy some more, then I was gasping, not just because I was thirsty, but the 35 degree heat was so intense I needed a seat.  My flumps were throbbing, I arrived at Giraffe and made the mistake of sitting outside, man was it toasty, but some gentleman left not long after and I swapped to their shady table, and ordered the Thai salad and water.  Then is was time to catch up on phone calls, my brother was first up, and when he evetually answered the phone, we had a lovely chat about his new house, and Dee's up and coming birthday, and their trip to Luxor next week, maybe I will surprise them and go visit, haha that would spoil their holiday.  Next up was Lou Lou, she was waiting in for a washing machine delivery "on a Sunday too", and it wasn't even her machine, pah to that.  Then it was the Demonic one, but that was short and sweet due to more pressing things going on at her end. Fee was sending me photos of the beautiful Bobbi-Jane, and I was ohhing and ahhing, another little baby I will need introducing to come July.

I finished up my lunch and headed for the last supermarket, once again I walked in the sweltering heat, I had just put the coffee in the basket when My Beloved called and said are you ready, so quick trolley dash and waited for him to pick me up, now this was tricky as we had both forgotten I had the car key, so I tried the bus and came across the most unhelpful driver ever, no taxis to be found so I had to leg it back up the road, by the time I arrived it was not pretty I can assure you, I was dripping from head to toe, and the journey home was very quiet as I was so dehydrated I could hardly speak.  My Beloved dropped me at the house and he headed back to the Port, I sorted through my purchases and finished the rest of the washing, then sat around totally knackered.

My poor Beloved didn't arrived home until well past 6.30, we chatted whilst preparing the supper, Jacket potatoes for us tonight and they were lush, coleslaw, cheese and chilli for My Beloved.

We tried once again to watch the end of Mission Impossible, which it appears to be, I fell asleep and never saw the end, the trouble with having it on a USB is if you miss it, or turn the TV off you have to FF all the way through from the start, I know the start of this film word for word now.
