The Little Princes Arrive

I managed to achieve so much this morning before 8am, garden weeded and watered, the windows washed and the house tidy.  Then it was time for a shower and hit the shops dragging the shopping trolley behind me, I stopped by the bank for some ever ready and headed for the bus stop, Amy was at the stop and we jumped on a bus to HADAR, well we would have done had we not got on the no5 thinking it would take us there, but the no5 has another route and it aint HADAR, so we spent a pleasant trip chatting until we realised the bus actually went to the Grand Canyon, we decided to try the Canyon anyway and walked around the shops, we looked at shoes and clocks and then I found some nice pillows for the living room, and popped them in my trolley, next stop the bus, we took the 23 back to Carmel Centre as we knew where this one went.  Then we took the car to Isfiya for the supermarket.

I love shopping in Isfiya supermarket, I have to say it is a very pleasurable experience, no hustle and bustle no demonic people at the till who leave the trolley in front of you and go back and collect twenty items they have forgotten, the checkout is positively delightful, and quite quick, the whole experience gets a 10/10 in my house.

Then its back down the mountain to the apartment groceries away, feet up and a cup of Chocolate Truffle tea ahhhhhh heaven. I finished off the afternoon ironing and sorting the laundry, then My Beloved called to say he wouldn't be home until 8pm, he is very tired just now, and so busy.

The Little Princes are on route and after a hysterical call with Garry because they were so late checking in they were unable to sit together on either flight, we called Air France and there was no budging them, we tried upgrading them and Air France said NON, I chatted with the Biggest Prince who was still very tearful and advised her to see the airline stewardess and ask about getting moved once on the second leg of the journey. My Beloved and I spent a fraught couple of hours worrying about the Little Princes who not only were they not sitting on the plane together, they had been placed in a room and left by the Air France staff, no internet and everything in French.

I decided to calm my nerves by making food, now I have been wanting to try pickled lemons since trying them in a lovely dish at Mandarin, so today I sterilised my jars and set about chopping my lemons, I sprinkled them with salt and sugar and placed them in the jars, I now have to turn them upside down every day for a week, although some recipes say three weeks, time will tell on that one.  My Beloved arrived home just as I was fighting with a non fitting lid, and raided the fridge before hitting the shower, we headed up the town for money then made our way back to the apartment, the road works are in full force tonight, the tar mac is coming on a treat, one car space a night I think!!!

Blurry but at that time in the morning no one was focusing

We headed for Ben Gurion Airport and The Little Princes, I slept most of the way there, although I am not sure you can call it sleep when every five mins you ask ' are you ok', My Beloved was fine but so tired.  The plane had been delayed by two hours and although that was the bads new, our very clever Eldest Prince had done her bit and got their seats moved next to one another, we arrived at the airport around 1.20ish and headed straight for the caffeine, I purchased helium balloons with Welcome on them and we waited, and waited, and waited, the flight eventually landed around 2.30am and then it was the wait for the bus from the plane to the luggage hall and then eventually through arrivals, we have never been so glad to see them, they were just hyper, yap, yap, yap, yap, yap for the next hour until sleep took over and they nodded off in the back, we eventually arrived home around 5.30am and couldn't get into the road as the road works were now right outside the apartment, luckily the street further down was cleared of cars and finished so we parked up and dragged the very heavy overloaded cases up to the apartment, the Little Princes were shown to there rooms, then given a guided tour, and then went to bed, very tired, but very very happy to be here.

My Beloved stayed up as he was going back to work at 6.30am without sleep and very sore, and very tired. I left him sitting on his computer and went to bed, hopefully the Little Princes will sleep late tomorrow and recoup some of the sleep they lost today.
