Baywatch its Not

I woke the Little Princes early this morning we could make a quick start on today's adventure. Getting the children out of bed is not so bad, its getting the rockets attached to their backs is the issue...

We left the house and headed to Hof HaCarmel train station, once there I decided it would not be a good idea to park there as having been caught in the flower show traffic yesterday I didn't want the same problem when we arrived back later in the day, so I decided to drive to Atlit.

Now I am amazingly good with directions, unlike My Beloved whom I have mentioned before could not find his way out of a box. So I headed towards Tel Aviv, I took the turn off for Atlit but unfortunately I could not find the station, it had disappeared into the countryside, so I did no more than drove to Binyamina. I drove through some lovely countryside, right along the edge of the Carmel mountain range, we passed En Hod an artists village, and Banana groves, until we came to the sign, East or West, I calculated in my head, and decided it had to be east as I knew the train didn't go through any tunnels, we found the little sign with the Choo choo and then the station, hooray we parked the car grabbed our tickets and headed to our train.

The Little Princes have never been on a double decker train before so the obligatory photos were taken, and the one of the soldier on the platform with his gun, Yabba was also clicking away on her ipad, we don't think he noticed.

So we are off, unfortuantely the gentleman across the aisle decided to upset his grandchild and the whole journey was ear splitting as said child screamed all the way to Herzeliya.

Taxi to the beach, and sun beds, yes sun beds, we parked out gear and the sun cream was applied, we had a lovely waiter who kept us entertained all day, and even giggled with the girls when salsa ended up on legs, don't ask me, I was away to the ladies at the time.

The Little Princes hit the water, the waves were bigger than we have seen so far, and they headed further, and further out, at one stage I thought I was going to have to don my red suit and throw the buoy over my shoulder, then I saw the heads bobbing again, phew.  I have since decided that when those Baywatch babes ran across the beach someone must have been in before them and flattened and hardened the sand, cos there is no way you can run, keep your suit out your bum, and your boobies in place on the sand in Herzeliya, it was beautifully soft and sinky, and most unattractive to walk on, even squeezing your bum cheeks together didn't help, I looked like I had a back problem.................. there was no upright on that beach.

We had our lunch on the beach as I say Yabba wore salsa, Kitty had schnitzel, I think she may be addicted, and I took the calamari, it was lovely.  The girls applied more cream, but not before Yabba had done 20 mins per side. We chilled on the beach and watched the world go by, most of it in bikinis, the Princes hit the water again, getting run over by the waves, ducking and diving and just enjoying the heat.

My Beloved arrived sometime after 4pm, now we get back to the direction issue, I was phoned and asked where we were, directions were given 'we are directly out front of the Dan Arcadia in line with the room we stayed in, beach side'.  Second phone call, 'right where are you','we are directly out front of the Dan Arcadia in line with the room we stayed in, beach side', third phone call, 'I'm at the far end of the beach where are you?' 'we are directly out front of the Dan Arcadia in line with the room we stayed in, turn around you plonker'. How can someone so smart be so dim when it comes to directions. I have now downloaded a new app LOCATION FINDER, and once I teach him how to use it, I will know exactly where he is, and he I.

We sat and chatted whilst the Little Princes hit the water one last time, then the showers, we then walked back to My Beloved's car, he remember where he had parked it and how to get to it, amazing, we drove back to Binyamina, don't worry I plugged the GPS in I couldn't stand the torture of directing him again, let GPS do it, he doesn't listen to here either.

We collected my car and drove back to Haifa, we arrived back and I now have a new cooker hood, hooray, I'm not allowed to use it until tomorrow but hey I don't care, my house won't stink of food, well that is if I ever cook again.

Quick showers and out to Tarrantinos for some Italian food, and thankfully they are serving bread, pizza and pasta Kosher its not, Kitty took her usual Margarita pizza which was huge and lush, Yabba took Fettuccine Alfredo with My Beloved and I took Beef fillet with mushrooms and baby potato, all meals were lush, and then the dessert, one each for Yabba and I, My Beloved and Kitty were stuffed by this time.

We crawled out of the restaurant and headed home, once again all very tired, Kitty now has a rather red face and shoulders, and plenty soothing cream was applied, Yabba is delighted she has a white bottom, think tomorrow with be a day in the shade for us all, I also am a touch pink around the edges, so I slapped on my cream and we all toddled off to bed.
