Party Time

This morning I woke early and was feeling a little less than fresh, how can that be after spending so much time in bed with My Beloved and his swine, well mainly because I woke around 4am and tossed and turned till it was time to get out of bed, the tossing and turning was a bit like having sea sickness, and the constant movement makes everything ache, My Beloved is fresh as a daisy and no sign of the plague, he fought it off once more, my hero!!!

Once again I received a call from Berlitz cancelling my appointment and rearranging for tomorrow, this time I told them what I thought about them, well I thought about it. I went to the business lounge and set about making more calls for Hebrew lessons, I now am waiting for The Ulpan to start in April, fingers crossed.

Amy and I chatted for a while before I decided to head out for some lunch, but not before I went to the apartment and put some washing on, I then headed to Mandarin for some chicken and teriyaki salad with raisins, and the americano coffee they make so well. I called the Demonic one for a quick chat as she has had a toe nail removed,  it would have been better had her driver not stood on said toe, but luckily it was still numb so no harm done.

I managed to even catch the post office open, very strange opening hours, and then headed back to the apartment, when I walked in I found Nelly, Itzhak, and three workmen all beavering away, the dishwasher is in, the shower door over the bath is fitted, and the gentleman for the other shower was in measuring up, happy days. I set about cleaning the bathroom tiles, unfortunately the guy that fitted them has left grout haze all over some of them and I am now using google to find out how to remove it, all ideas welcome. Apparently vinegar works, so that is my next step, but finding vinegar in Haifa is challenging in itself.

Pu·rim
noun /ˈpo͝orim/  /po͝oˈrēm/
  1. A lesser Jewish festival held in spring (on the 14th or 15th day of Adar) to commemorate the defeat of Haman's plot to massacre the Jews as recorded in the book of Esther. Also known as the Feast of Lots.

I headed back to the hotel with my clean washing and waited for My Beloved and Natalie, now the Hotel is putting on a party for the staff tonight and it is a celebration of Purim. Natalie is needing help to put on her beautiful new lashes, so she will be coming to our room for me to help her.  My Beloved arrived and we decided that tonight we would go in search of garden furniture, so we showered and readied ourselves, and then Natalie arrived, a beautiful Angel stood at my door, but minus her lashes, so My Beloved made a sharp exit and Natalie and I set about gluing her new fake lashes in place, once done and all pretty photos were taken and off Natalie went, I think that Natalie has been the organiser of the party so early doors for her.

I traced My Beloved to the Business lounge and we headed off to the Cinemall, we didn't find garden furniture but we did find Black n Burger, and had a lovely Surf and Turf supper, strange as it was, it was shrimp and chicken, no beef to be found, but it was lovely, and it appeared our plate was something similar to Mary Poppins handbag, just when you thought you were getting to the bottom you discovered another layer of shrimp. We wandered around the mall then headed back to the hotel, we had said we would pop into the party and take photos, so thats what we did, it was lovely to see all the staff dressed up in their fancy dress costumes, even the CEO was dressed as a cowboy and as usual he had his lovely smile on too, Sharbel was there although he wasn't dressed up, Gustavo popped down from reception just in time for a dance with the Brazilian dancers, Libby and her partner were there dressed as a Geisha and a ninja, it was lovely seeing the staff in a relaxed atmosphere, and having fun.

We said our goodbyes after taking lots of snaps, and a few videos, some of the snaps are grainy just because I didn't set them up correctly with the light but the atmosphere floods through and the colours of the Brazilian dancers were amazing.

Next week Purim starts properly on Wednesday, and apparently their will be more dressing up, and Moar told us there is a parade of children in her hometown of Natanya too, so it looks like next week is going to be interesting if we can be in the right place at the right time.
