I Quit

Holy bloody moly, I have had one drink since last Monday, and I feel worse this morning than I did last Tuesday Morning. I know what is doing it, I have said I won't do it again, but the trouble is I'm deaf and when I tell myself something I just don't hear it, why because I have selective hearing.

I dragged myself out of bed, I spoke with My Beloved and that was a toil, the brain was in disfunction mode, and the ears again were being selective, it didn't help that My Beloved sounded like a bloody darlek, something to do with the metal in his roof, I knew he needed a haircut, but I don't remember him having a metal top, wooden yes, but not metal.

I spoke with Amit the Jolly guard this morning before I left the hotel, and we struck up a conversation about beer, which lead onto bread and eventually led onto yeast, I have never been able to drink beer, instant headache, and as we all know bread is killing me, well I have been tested for Celiacs and all tests were negative, which leads me to believe it could be the yeast, my ankles, knees, hips, elbows and fingers all hurt this morning, and the only thing it could have been was the bread, it was lush at the time but the next day I might as well just roll over in bed and stay there, this time I have made the decision that I don't care how nicely presented, or how heavenly the smell, this Mumma ain't eating it. I wouldn't mind but I didn't touch a crumb of it when we were out on Friday night, not even when everyone else was dipping theirs in the goose juice, and I haven't had any for at least a week. But yesterday I just couldn't resist, well really could you?????
Next time I want Pate I am gonna ask for carrot sticks, it is how I used to eat it in the UK, so I will have to go back to the stick.

I left Amit and strolled very slowly to the supermarket, dragging my wheeled case full of dirty washing behind me, only to be asked to open the case when I arrived at the supermarket, what an affront, luckily the guard said just a little bit, thank the lord, I had visions of our undies and nicky nackys all over the floor. I found some strawberrys and some yoghurt and took them to the apartment for my breakfast, apparently Melon is seasonal in Israel which is why I haven't been getting any at breakfast lately, so I thought I would try the Strawberries, alas they didn't do it for me, tomorrow I will try another fruit, maybe apples they are in abundance supply.

I put the washing on, ate my breakfast and there was a ring at the door, Itzhak was there with a plumber, they informed me the water had been turned off so they could remove a tap in the apartment, so double quick I had to turn off the washer, and wait until they removed the tap, then I turned on the washer again. I left my clothes sloshing around the machine and headed for coffee at Mandarin, My Beloved called and said he would meet me at the hotel, I sat to my coffee and finished my blog, the trouble is for some reason its having a complete mappy, I now have no blog for yesterday, and today's has yesterdays title, what is OCCURING!!!! I left Mandarin slightly iritated, and headed for the hotel and My Beloved, once I arrived I tried once again to sort the blog, unfortunately the blog named Berlitz has completely disappeared into the ether, gone, lost and never to be seen again.

My Beloved and I left the hotel and headed for Vulcan Junction, first stop Filocamp, well I think that is what its called, beautiful garden furniture they have too, we took down some measurements, and prices and then popped over to Lev Hamifrats for the second garden shop I had spotted, this furniture was again lush but not really what we were wanting, although the parasols were amazing, but I think had I bought one the folk two streets down would have been complaining about the shade....

We headed back up to Carmel Centre and home, we parked the car at the apartment and walked up to Giraffe for lunch, now this isn't UK Giraffe, this is Asian Giraffe, we ordered the wonton soup and Fried rice, 'you do remember that the soup is large' said our waiter, and he wasn't kidding, the soup is definitely a sharer, it came in a bucket, with two bowls and a ladle, and as for the fried rice, it too was huge, and came with chicken and shrimp. Both dishes were lovely, and I think the Little Princes will love this food, especially the soup. We ate our soup and walked back to the apartment, slowly, said our goodbyes and My Beloved went back to work, and I went back to my domestics.

The washing was finished, so I threw it in the drier and set about cleaning the windows, eugk not my favourite job at the best of times. I then decided to clean the floors, the new vinegar I had purchased did nothing to shift the haze from the bathroom tiles so back to the drawing board with that one, but the new floor cleaner with smelly peach Dina had told me to get for the floors was great, I now have a beautiful smelling house, and with shiny floors, delighted. I figured out how to set the air conditioning unit, and by the time I finished the floors I had worked up quite a heat and had to turn it down.

My Beloved called just before 5pm he was at the hotel, so he came around and picked me up and we headed over to Filocamp again and ordered our new garden table and chairs, Eli told us it will take '10 walking days for the moving', what he meant was 2 weeks for delivery. Whilst we were there we happened across a BBQ so that is also ordered and due for moving in 2 weeks.

We headed back to the hotel showered and headed up to the business Lounge, My Beloved had to find a man he had never met, who had been involved in a collision with a motor cyclist whilst sitting in a taxi, quite clever really as he was the passenger. We eventually left the lounge and headed out for supper, Japanika it was for us, we need to take Mr Wilson to Japanika as we have been telling him he should try the Tuna Tataki so I'm sure we will be back in there some time again this week, its never a chore to eat in Japanika, the difficulty comes when you have to get off your chair and try and walk back to the hotel.

We walked into the hotel as Natalie was walking out, I forgot to say, having asked the question Natalie had informed me IKEA re-opens 6th March, this is after it was raised to the ground in a fire. I have never understood that saying 'raised to the ground', surely it should be 'flattened to the floor'!!!! Anyway Tuesday I will be taking the train to Netanya for a visit to IKEA and Kika, now Kika is apparently, and according to the advertising, a posher version of IKEA, we will see, Natalie has work in YaHood on Tuesday, not MyHood, YaHood, so we will be travelling together on the train.
