Tour Guide for Tel Aviv

So I woke early and took myself off for a quick gym session before I took the bus to Herzliya B and Svenja's house, I was greeted by two kittens frolicking on the doorstep, I soon frightened them off with my best 'DON'T MESS WITH ME KITTY' stare, they don't belong to Svenja and Martin they just own the door step.

After a tour of the house, and the oven and what an oven, its one of those new fangled range things, ohhh I would have to become a master chef to be eligible for one of those, chicken salads are no justification for a new fangled range!!

Where was I, oh yeah after the tour we headed for the bus to Tel Aviv, we arrived in Tel Aviv and walked up Allenby to the Carmel market, I made the mistake of taking a coffee break before hitting the Artist's market, bad bad move, by the time we came out the heavens were open on full tilt, and our Cypriot souvenirs had to be removed from their covers and opened

Unfortunately with the rain came the rain covers, all manner of plastic to protect the beautiful products each artist had lovingly made, we walked a while before ducking into a shop for escape from the elements, funnily enough I have never taken any notice of this store before, but what an Aladdin's cave, full of delights to keep two expats entertained until the rain passed. From furniture to clothing, to window dressings and back again, we checked out everything, I found a lovely jumper which was so ridiculously cheap that I could have easily bought one of each colour, the only trouble was when trying the said jumper on I turned into balloon woman, I seemed to have developed a balloon bum, and don't even get me started on the boobies, no this jumper was not for me, but it looked great on the hanger, obviously one of those jumpers only a twig could wear.

Eventually we braved the elements, the rain had eased and we walked through the market checking out the stalls that were still braving the weather. Oh and did we find some lovely things, I hope Lou Lou is as excited about the universe as I am, I can't say anymore as she will be reading, she will just have to wait until Christmas.

We then headed down the fruit and vegetable market picking up the things we needed as we went, Svenja now has a trolley like mine, so now we are both bag ladies, it was either buy a trolley or her arms would fall off before I could get her back on the bus.  We left the market headed for lunch at Shenkin street, but not before checking out some of the lovely clothes stores on route, oh and boots, I kept my blinkers on, but Svenja must have forgotten hers, she now owns a lovely pair of grey ankle boots. Don't worry the blinkers will be off on Wednesday as we are going to Haifa and I will be checking out my favourite shoe shop whilst I'm there, shame Lou Lou is not here she loves shoe shopping with me NOT!!!!!

Svenja was delighted with the introduction to the market and shops of Tel Aviv, you really do need a tour guide, I was lucky to have Kaspit for mine, and now I have passed on the the favour to Svenja and Julie before her.
