So after my first gym session everyone else
was fed and I had to go without, the only one in the family to put out this
morning and I had to go without.
We were all packed and ready to rock, when
I let slip that we were going to the Dead Sea bang goes that surprise then, if
My Beloved hadn’t decided to argue with me about the fact that HE WILL need
shoes to go into the Dead Sea I would not have let slip, ops…
It took us two hours to drive through the
mountains and down into En Boqeq, the scenery at times was stark, and at others
amazing, the snake like road that took us down to our destination had a little
treat on every bend, we passed beautiful views over towards Jordan, Camels on the
hills and cyclists going up the way, we even had to slow down at one stage as a
gang load of trial bikes were crossing the road as we were using it, obviously
we had missed that sign.
We eventually dropped down into En Boqeq
and found our hotel, and a car parking space, but not before My Beloved had
tried to run a Russian over who thought she could hold a parking space for a
car that wasn’t materializing, so he just gently nudged her out of the
way. We checked in but our room wasn’t
ready as we were early so we took ourselves off to the pool and a seat in the
sun, once we did get checked in we changed and headed for the beach and the
Dead Sea, lucky for me I forgot my bikini so couldn’t go it, I had to content
myself with sitting in the sunshine with the camera doing a great David Bailey
impression.
Supper was taken at the hotel after a short
walk along the front, being winter here means that the place is very very
quiet, but we actually think that once you have done the whole floating in the
water thing there isn’t a lot else to do in the winter.
