My New Carrera

My beloved always wanted one, personally I haven't really understood the desire, until now that is. The seat is amazingly comfortable, storage space is amazing for something so quick, and to beat everything it's a christmas present I have been allowed to play with before christmas, I am one lucky girl.
Our first Christmas card,
thanks Marion and Jim x
This morning we took ourselves off to the gym, My Beloved is having a proper weekend, we have only been here a year (almost) and this is our first proper weekend together, we beasted our butts in the gym before breakfast of bacon and eggs, then headed out of town on the bikes, first stop was Cafecafe, not for coffee you understand but for the bike store that happens to be just behind it, new lights purchased and we were off again, we headed out the back road towards Rishpon and then across the motorway for a quick lunch at Aroma before heading back again, we arrived back at the beach to be battered by the wind which was obviously coming off the sea, hence the amount of kiteboarders in the sea, the sun was still shining but that wind was unbelievable, it actually took my back wheel from me at one stage.

We headed for the marina and then the supermarket for supplies for our evening in, the Mall was getting ready for some of the Hanukkah celebrations that are going to be happening over the next couple of days. Eight days of celebrations.

HANUKKAH

An eight-day festival beginning on the 25th day of Kislev, commemorating the victory in 165 b.c. of the Maccabees over Antiochus Epiphanes (c. 215-164 b.c.) and the rededication of the Temple at Jerusalem. Also called Feast of Dedication,Feast of Lights.

Multi-branched candelabra used by Jews during the festival of Hanukkah. It holds nine candles (or has nine receptacles for oil). Eight of the candles stand for the eight days of Hanukkahone is lit the first day, two the second, and so on. The ninth candle, or Shammash  (servant) light usually set in the centre and raised above the others is used to light the others. The menorah is an imitation of the seven-branched golden candelabra of the Tabernacle, which signified the seven days of creation. The menorah is also an ancient symbol of Jewish identity and the official symbol of the modern state of Israel.

Currently around Herzliya and probably further afield there are Menorah decorations in the streets, it is lovely to see as are the Hanukkah doughnuts in the stores, all beautifully decorated with chocolates or sprinkles, fruit or icing, I have managed to abstain so far....

Let me introduce you to Porsche's sister
