B & Q

What I love about my blog is the fact that where ever you are in the world, I can see you, if you have been reading I get a little notifications of all my visitors, its great, as far afield as Serbia, Latvia, The States and more, keep on reading peeps.

So this morning was my second run in Israel, still doing the running and walking, although if you were to see me you would not even call the run part running, I look like a labouring hippo, but it blasts the cobwebs away and allows me to eat all the lovely Israeli food.

So after my run, I took breakfast in the Hotel, they make the most wonderful yoghurt and its made on the premises everyday, so Melon, Yoghurt and walnuts it was yummy. Then I decided I would walk to The Home centre, which is where I tried to get to on Friday but Shabbat over took me.

So I left the Hotel and walked until I ran out of path again, then jumped on 123 after some lovely man told me yes this goes to Haifa mall, which is close to where I wanted to be, he even called me when it was my stop. I walked past the Mall and headed to the Home Centre, which in Israeli must mean B & Q, everything I need should I decide to decorate, start using boys tools and more importantly buy my BBQ hooray I've even found a fancy parasol thing to hang in the garden should I want to get some shade without going indoors.

Whilst shopping I found all varieties of nuts and the dark looking walnuts intrigued me so much I had to buy some, it turns out they were caramelised walnuts, and heavenly. No lunch for me then, but after I finished in the Home Centre I headed for the Haifa Mall for a spot of retail therapy before heading back to the Hotel. My Beloved needed some Lynx so I found some for him, its called Axe here, but hey as long as he smells good they can call it what they want.

My little corn has been whining again today so I now have some new plasters to soothe it into submission. I also found some of my favourtie toothpaste, but I still can't get to grips with the hair products. The Little Princes have a list not handy for lotions and potions I need, as does another friend who will be coming in sometime soon.

The Big Chief is back in country and has bought us some more Solera for our collection, we are still waiting to hear about a moving in date, and until we get that we can't even begin to order furniture. I think it must be slow because its a new build and as such although we saw it and its finished, the second entrance has still to be finished and the garden sorted, oh yeah and the electrical stuff should be sorted within the week.

The taxi ride home was uneventful and I took myself back to the Business lounge, but unfortunately the stinking pipe smoker was back, I left because it just made me feel sick, I took myself to the Hotel foyer and listened to radio one whilst rooting around facebook, oh and speaking with my Friend in Malaysia.

I forgot to mention the incident with the Carmel Tunnels yesterday, and yes it is plural, My Beloved drove up to the kiosk and suddenly realised that it was unmanned and we had no choice but to reverse, which wouldn't have been so bad if he had not been multi-tasking and speaking hands free, whilst I held the phone to the Big Chief, now I realise I haven't driven here yet but reverse is reverse in any language, but could he manoeuvre into reverse, no he couldn't,  there was traffic coming up behind us but thankfully they all gave us a wide berth, eventually we reversed pulled up to the manned kiosk, to be asked where are you going? 'obviously we are going to the other side of the tunnel!!!!! so we paid our money, half way through we had a fork in the road, Tel Aviv or Neve-Sha'anan, decisions, decisions, if it hadn't been for GPS we wouldn't have even been in the tunnel and now she wasn't speaking to us, we took the Tel Aviv road and ended up at the Haifa Mall, I knew where I was but My Beloved was now in panic mode, so I turned off GPS and directed him back to the roads he would be happy with.

My Beloved arrived back at the hotel tonight just as I was getting ready and we took a walk up to the phone shop for credit, and also to pick up some cash for the new Whisky Mr Big Chief had bought in for us. We were eating in Shawaltina tonight, and when we walked in Hassan was there waiting on tables, now Hassan works in The Crowne reception so imagine our surprise, we laughed and joked with him, especially as he is always telling us he hasn't slept, well not much wonder when you work full time at one job, and part time nights at another.

We ordered lightly, well we thought we did, the Hummus starter was lush and came with a complimentary salad, and then we saw the main course coming over OMG To finish they scuppered us again, Knafah the Lebanese dessert, these people are trying to kill us with food, My Beloved is now pigged out in front of his laptop trying to work his way around a report, and he is groaning and moaning, if he wasn't such a little piggy he wouldn't be so uncomfortable, hahahahahahaha
Calamari, Shrimp, Mussles, Crab and Calamarie heads apparently, and it was amazing

The rest of the evening was spent helping Natalie sort her poster for the Hotel event on Monday, and sorting through My blog.
