So our last apartment we managed to stay from March to September, this apartment we managed from September to the present time, but we are now moving again, and apparently before the end of February, luckily for the family we will still be here when they arrive or we would have had to leave the keys under the mat.
We are neither of us sure how we feel about our next move, there is so much in Israel we have still to see, we are definitely not done with this country yet, but our next move will be a new country, ironically a country Israel has many ties with, and not all of them memorable for the right reasons.
So at the end of the month I will be house hunting again, and this time I will be making sure that we have soundproofing, because although I love this apartment in Herzliya, since the neighbours moved in whilst there own home is being renovated, we have been ousted out of bed most mornings with our ears ringing, Horrid Henry speaks with a booming voice that could wake the dead, and usually does around 7.45am, Viv the vixen has a pitch I wish only dogs could here because it really is painfully high, and unfortunately I can hear it, maybe that is why the neighbouring dogs bark in the mornings.....
We called the children last night and informed them of our impending move, my Grand daughter is going to be very disappointed when she is told because she is so looking forward to seeing where Jesus was born, this urge to see Bethlehem started with the nativity play at school, when she played an angel, how dreadful we have to disappoint her, now she will have to visit us elsewhere in the summer, but we are thinking the flights might be a little easier, and for sure they are definitely cheaper, you see there are benefits to moving, just not all of them apparent just yet.
Weather wise I am still in a state of shock, my body is fully acclimatised to Israeli weather, I have no winter clothing for good reason, I HATE THE COLD! but now I will have to go on a spending spree not for summer clothes as I thought I would be doing when we go to Florida in the summer, no I will be looking for ski jackets and snow boots, I am not sure my inner sun worshipper can survive this change of climate.........although I have been told it is very nice in the summer, just not Israel!
