The last few days since my trip to Tel Aviv with Svenja have been an absolute wash out, rain, rain and more rain, which has lead to a lot of home time, offft how dull, the only benefit being the ironing and washing are all up to date, so at least that procrastinating problem has been overcome.
Unfortunately just because the domestics are up to date does not make me any happier being stuck in the house, now don't get me wrong I could have jumped on a bus and headed out but to tell you the truth just the thought of being caught in an Israeli deluge doesn't inspire me to get out of the house. So I passed my time between the gym, domestics and cooking, although come to think of it, on Wednesday I did venture out for a late afternoon walk along the beach, it was pretty impressive too, watching the black sky roll in from the sea, and on the other side of the harbour the bright sun lit the skies, the flashes of lightening and claps of thunder were my only company, the beach was awash with sea shells washed up in the swell, the surfing nut cases were in the swell obviously they don't mind bad weather.
Thursday I decided I was going to try and cook Shakshuka, I purchased all the things I needed which turned out to be just tomatoes as I had everything else in the house already, and whilst I was preparing supper I began to get the ingredients ready, tomatoes peeled and skinned, onions and red peppers diced along with the garlic and a red chilli, spices at the ready, the eggs go in when we are ready to eat, house smelt pretty damned good, a turkey roasting in the oven, veggies on the stove and uncooked veg ready for shakshuka making. Once supper was finished I set about preparing my lovely tomato dish, the resulting taste was delectable if I say so myself, the only problem being I had to wait till the morning to eat it.....

Today we took ourselves to Rishon Lezion and cinemal, we are off to see The Hobbit, three hours later and my backside was numb, my stomach was rumbling as it had been far too long since my wonderful shakshuka, the film was good but three hours pffft, way to long and very now I have to wait again for the next part.
