PLOV

We had a late breakfast of the best bacon in the world, Cypriot picnic bacon care of Darren and My Beloved had his tucked away in a pitta bread, where as I had mine with an omelette.

Our day was spent in the sun, Celia has now left for Miami but she left with us for safe keeping her two reclining deck chairs, so My Beloved is now able to lay in the sun instead of sitting upright in a chair.

Plov [plohf] is a cult dish not only in its homeland Uzbekistan, but all over the former Soviet Republics and Russia.
Our evening was spent in the company of the KGB, which left us with a conundrum? Zheni had made the supper of Plov this evening and informed us we had to tell him which was better, the one Dina made the first time we went over, or the one he had made, we declined to answer that question for fear of retribution......

The trouble with living in a country that is two hours ahead of our native country means the football doesn't start till 9.45pm, we watched the first half with Zheni then left at half time for the journey home, poor Russia lost and are now out of the games thanks to Greece, poor Zheni.  But we will get to watch Zheni's other team on Tuesday, Ukraine are playing England, this will be interesting as Dina my Korean looking Russian friend will be wearing her England top, mainly because of an allegiance to David Beckham.
